A cover system for a small press. Series colour, one face, and room for a stubborn title.

Field Notes publishes essays that need to look like they belong together without looking stamped. We designed a cover grid that holds wild titles and a spine colour for each season.

The text face is the same as the website, so a reader who finds a book online meets the same voice on paper.

The first season of eight titles is out. Two reprints already used the system without us in the file. That is the definition of done.
